Many of the stores that found themselves forced to close in March to slow the spread of COVID-19 will be allowed to re-open beginning today/Friday. The Texas Governor is taking a tiered approach to reopening the government and this phase of re-opening Texas for business involves you ordering online and picking up your item out front… like take out.
This is the latest effort by Governor Abbott to restart the Texas economy while the state continues to tackle a coronavirus pandemic.
The next step in reopening the Texas economy will be to actually allow customers to shop inside non-essential retail businesses. Scott, who is also a member of the governor’s strike force to re-open Texas businesses, says there is no indication of when that will happen.
